Public space
Improve the atmosphere and feeling of safety in the park and strengthen the connection between the new city hall and regional office of Rabobank De Langstraat with the central square area.
The lighting design provides basic lighting in the area that, for safety reasons, stays on during the night
In addition, illuminating all the entrances and exits of the park provides a (partially) illuminated route from the Winterdijk to the Raadhuisplein and vice versa. The use of wall luminaires ensures a smooth transition from square to park.
The buildings, the tower and objects (such as benches) in the park are subtly illuminated.
The memorial stone is warmly lit. The artwork has been theatrically highlighted. This creates a nice contrast.
The use of neutral white light and warm white light creates a play of light between ‘silver and gold’.
